Cooper Woodlock is a man who can’t seem to stay out of trouble. Between his gambling debt and being a widowed father, he can never seem to get Lady Luck back on his side.

Desperate for a winning hand, Cooper starts hitting saloons and tempting fate in order to keep the bloodthirsty Spades at bay.

When a black-clad gunslinger enters the game promising a slice of freedom, Cooper realizes all too late what he is actually playing for.

Claw Marks & Card Games is the second installment to the Stallion Ridge series. While the romance is self contained to this story, there is an overarching plot that starts in Heartache & Hoofbeats. It is recommended to read the series in order before starting with the second book.

Description

Five Star Review:

Loved it!
This is book 2, it picks up right where the first one left off. Is it necessary to read book 1? No. But it will help a LOT with who the characters are.
Gunner is so far one of my favorite characters!!!

No spoilers BUT his bath obsession is my obsession!!!
In comparison to the first of the series this one I feel has a bit more action. Lots of good turns in the novel and the end…. oh then end!!! Let me just say that I am now waiting on the edge of my seat for book 3!!!!

This book introduced a few more characters into the world and so far they have all been unique and a great new spin on the shifter world.

Again this book takes place in a western world which had been a dream to read about as M. has described it. The saloon is still a favorite place of mine and I cant wait till there is more development with more of my favorite characters.
Definitely worth a read!
